42 Years On: Kent State Shootings Will Not Be Re-Investigated

Forty two years ago today, the world was in shock following the shooting of unarmed college students by the Ohio National Guard at Kent State University. In the space of thirteen short seconds, the guardsmen fired 67 rounds, killing four students and wounding nine others, one of whom suffered permanent paralysis.
